About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Brake/Tire Specialist to maintain its fleet of Ford and GMC trucks and trailers. The role uses U-Haul proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul provides tools and support, opportunities to learn from experienced team members, and a Technician Training Program with Ford, GMC, and U-Haul classes. The work involves manual labor and requires working safely and remaining alert. Protective clothing or equipment such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields may be needed. Team members are expected to assist in other areas as necessary, following their supervisor’s direction.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Mount, dismount, and balance tires.
• Occasionally road test vehicles.
• Work in a production line.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of a supervisor.
