About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Brake/Tire Specialist to maintain its fleet of Ford and GMC trucks and trailers. The role uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul provides tools and support, and offers a Technician Training Program with classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. Candidates may be new to the industry or have prior vehicle-repair experience. Compensation is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. The position is located at 7640 York St, Denver, Colorado 80229. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.

Nice To Haves

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• One to two years of repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Mount, dismount, and balance tires.
• Occasionally road test vehicles.
• Work in a production line.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
