About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Brake and Tire Technician to maintain its fleet of Ford and GMC trucks and other field vehicles. The role uses U-Haul proprietary technology to assess and care for vehicles, and the company provides tools, support, and opportunities to grow through its Technician Training Program, including Ford, GMC, and U-Haul training. Team members may also be asked to assist in other areas as directed by their supervisor. The work involves manual labor and requires working safely and staying alert. Protective gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields may be needed. The position is located at 7640 York St, Denver, Colorado 80229. Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude.
Driver’s license.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
Basic computer skills.
Regular attendance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
Perform tire and brake maintenance.
Mount, dismount, and balance tires.
Occasionally road test vehicles.
Work in a production line.
Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of a supervisor.
