About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Brake Press Operator in Terrell, Texas. The operator fabricates metal parts to engineering specifications using press brake and decoiling machinery. Duties include setting up machinery, selecting and installing dies, adjusting settings to meet project requirements, and performing die changes efficiently to minimize downtime. The operator reads technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, monitors machine operations for consistent product quality, and adjusts settings as needed. The role is a day shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Brake press operator experience.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Able to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of heavy lifting.
• Knowledge of a tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with tooling setup, die changes, and machine calibration techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and decoiling machinery to fabricate metal parts based on engineering specifications.
• Set up machinery, select and install appropriate dies, and adjust settings to meet project requirements.
• Perform die changes efficiently with minimal downtime to maintain production schedules.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent product quality, adjusting settings as necessary.
