About The Position

The Press Brake Operator sets up and operates press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position pays $22 per hour or more based on experience and follows a day shift schedule, Monday through Thursday for 10-hour shifts. Friday overtime is available when needed. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience operating a press brake; CNC experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Manual dexterity and attention to fine detail for handling metal parts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Amada, Cincinnati, and/or Accurpress brake machines.
Familiarity with CNC programming and setup.
Forklift operation certification.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form parts to specifications.
Interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings to determine part dimensions and tolerances.
Select and install the proper tooling and dies for each job.
Measure, inspect, and verify finished parts using calipers, protractors, and other measuring tools.
Adjust machine controls to maintain part accuracy and consistency.
Perform routine machine maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure product quality and schedule adherence.
