About The Position

The Brake Press Operator will primarily be involved with the setup and operation of a CNC brake press for metal fabrication. This role requires the ability to set up and operate machines as required to manufacture specific parts. The operator will analyze work orders, parts, and blueprints, and check parts throughout the production run using company-supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability. A strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and concepts is necessary to set up machinery and produce "0 defect" parts. The position also involves accurately completing work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts and working a regular schedule determined by supervisory management. Other duties may be assigned by supervisory personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.
  • Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
  • Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid-sized volume metal fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and hands-on operation and set up of CNC brake press for metal fabrication.

  • Analyze work orders, parts, and blueprints.
  • Check parts throughout the production run, using company supplied measuring equipment to monitor quality and repeatability of processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication process and concepts.
  • Setup metal fabrication machinery and other production necessities to produce "0 defect" parts.
  • Accurately complete work orders with correct quantities of good and defective parts.
  • Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
