About The Position

Brake & Alignment Technicians service and install brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components. They provide excellent customer service and complete work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct. Les Schwab provides on-the-job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians. The position involves working with hydraulic and electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drivetrain, power steering, batteries, tires, wheels, and tire-pressure monitoring systems. Technicians may also test-drive vehicles, use service equipment and hand tools, assist other employees, and operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road services.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in a rapid-pace environment.
Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
Frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling, and continuous squatting, reaching, walking, and standing.

Responsibilities

Install or service hydraulic and electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drivetrain, and power steering parts and components.
Test and install batteries.
Dismount and mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, and replace, rebuild, or recalibrate TPMS components.
Use equipment and miscellaneous hand tools.
Assist other employees.
Test-drive vehicles.
Operate service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified employees as necessary.
Complete work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
