About The Position

Williamston Community Schools is seeking a Boys Swim/Dive Assistant Coach. This position reports to the Athletic Director and Building Principal. The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience, a philosophy consistent with Williamston High School’s educational goals, and the ability to work effectively with young student-athletes. The coach will be responsible for organizing and conducting practices, communicating with coaches and the Athletic Director, and providing leadership and support for high school academic, behavioral, and building policies. A flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, is required.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Philosophy consistent with Williamston High School’s educational goals
• Able to take direction and make mature decisions
• Flexible schedule, available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to work effectively with young student-athletes
• Sport-specific knowledge
• Leadership qualities

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibilities associated with the role of a coach
• Organize and conduct practices during the season
• Communicate effectively and as directed with coaches and Athletic Director
• Provide leadership
• Be supportive of high school academic, behavioral, and building policies
• Supervision of athletes
