About The Position

The Boys Recreational Gymnastics Coach leads recreational gymnastics classes for boys, ranging from first-timers to more advanced recreational athletes. The coach helps athletes build strength, focus, and confidence while maintaining a safe, positive, structured, and energetic environment. Paid training, clear lesson plans, and mentorship from the Boys Program Director are provided. Training begins in December, ahead of the new schedule starting January 4. The role is based in Little Canada, Minnesota, and is part-time for 4 to 8 hours per week on Monday and Thursday evenings. Compensation is $18 to $22 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Enjoy working with children and have the energy to keep up with them.
Be comfortable leading a group and setting expectations.
Be positive, reliable, and punctual.
Be comfortable being active and demonstrating movement.
Be available Monday and Thursday evenings.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to commute to Little Canada, MN 55117.
Pass a background check and complete SafeSport training before coaching.

Nice To Haves

A background in gymnastics, tumbling, parkour, martial arts, cheer, or another sport is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Coach structured recreational classes for boys at different skill levels.
Demonstrate skills and spot progressions while keeping athletes moving through lesson plans.
Lead high-energy groups with clear expectations, quick transitions, and encouragement.
Create a safe, positive environment that supports athletes’ strength, focus, and confidence.
Communicate clearly and kindly with athletes and parents.
