About The Position
The Brunswick School Department is seeking candidates for the Boys Ice Hockey JV Coach position. This role requires a strong understanding of ice hockey and the ability to work effectively with high school athletes. The coach will be responsible for fostering a positive and meaningful experience for student-athletes, developing sportsmanship, setting high standards, and connecting with the athletes. The position also involves growing the sport within the community.
Requirements
- Current background/fingerprinting certificate through the Maine Dept. of Education.
- Exceptional knowledge of ice hockey.
- Proven ability working with high school athletes.
- Ability to attain MPA Coaching certifications in: Foundations of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion, Heat Acclimatization, Protection from Abuse, Student Health/Suicide Prevention, Implicit Bias and Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate behavior.
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification, or ability to attain.

- Previous coaching experience at the JV or Varsity level.
