About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Box Truck Medical Driver/Logistics Service Representative in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The role pays $16.00 per hour and follows a fixed schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The driver transports medical materials in a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle and uses a handheld scanner to track items throughout the transportation cycle. The position requires a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or the ability to obtain one. Drug and alcohol screening, a criminal background check, and a motor vehicle record review are conditions of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Have or be able to obtain the current and appropriate class driver's license.
• Pass a company-administered road test or successfully complete one.
• Provide documents required for a Driver Qualification file.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, lift items off storage racks, and handle varying item weights and physical demands.
• Comfort with walking and standing for long periods.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Have or be able to obtain DOT Medical Certification and be physically qualified by a doctor to operate a non-CDL CMV.
• Be at least 21 years old and have held an active driver's license for at least three years.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse.
• Have sufficient experience, training, or both to safely operate the type of non-CDL CMV involved.
• Complete the required criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, sterile processing instrumentation, healthcare linens, and related materials.
• Drive a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle, such as a straight truck, throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Help build and maintain a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
