About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Box Truck Medical Driver/Logistics Service Representative in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, at $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The driver transports medical supplies and materials for healthcare organizations using a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle, such as a straight truck. The role requires safe, courteous, and dependable driving, accurate tracking of transported items, adherence to service schedules and operating procedures, and professional interaction with clients and the public. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history; must have an active driver’s license for at least three years.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have or be able to obtain a current DOT Medical Certification.
Must have or successfully complete a company-administered road test.
Must furnish documents required for a Driver Qualification (DQ) file.
Must be able to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Must be physically qualified by a doctor to operate a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle.
Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse.
Must be able to safely operate the type of non-CDL CMV, based on experience, training, or both.

Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, lift items off storage racks, and walk and stand for long periods.
Must be able to handle varying item weights and physical demands even when pickup and drop-off responsibilities or routes vary.
Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, sterile processing instrumentation, healthcare linens, and related materials.
Drive a non-CDL commercial motor vehicle, such as a straight truck, throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
