About The Position

The Box Room Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and performing basic maintenance on the box maker, ensuring that it keeps pace with production demand. The role also manages packaging inventory across departments, keeping materials stocked and prepared according to the production schedule. The operator communicates proactively with the Production Planner and coordinates with production to help prevent material shortages and downtime. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years.
LOTO certification is required.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate the box maker to produce boxes for production lines.
Perform changeovers to switch box styles as needed.
Monitor and refill the box maker magazine to prevent box shortages.
Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance; LOTO certification is required.
Manage packaging inventory across departments, including departments that do not directly use the box-making machine.
Review the daily production schedule and prepare materials in advance.
Conduct weekly and monthly packaging inventory counts.
Organize and maintain orderly storage of packaging supplies and materials.
Communicate inventory needs to the Production Planner in a timely and proactive manner.
Coordinate with production to ensure packaging materials are available when needed and avoid downtime.
Support the Box Room with additional duties as time allows.
