About The Position

The Frederick Keys Box Office Intern is a part-time internship for current university students who will receive college credit for participating. The intern gains real-world experience in a professional sports organization and learns about its operations while developing skills in communication, fan experience, and sports ticket sales. The role involves seasonal and game-day ticketing support, customer service, ticket sales and servicing, and working Frederick Keys home games under the direction of organizational managers.

Requirements

Must be a current university student receiving college credit for the internship.
Must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student studying Sport Management, Business Management, or Sales.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of seasonal and game-day ticketing needs.
Learn to service group and individual tickets.
Develop clear and friendly phone manners while handling ticketing matters.
Work Frederick Keys home games as directed by the Box Office Manager.
Shadow and learn from the Box Office Manager.
Represent the organization at outside events and appearances as needed.
Enter group events, season ticket plans, and individual ticket purchases into Tickets.com.
Perform other duties assigned by the Box Office Manager, Senior Marketing and Game Day Manager, and General Manager of the Keys.
Assist with preparing the Box Office for the 2027 season and game days.
Assist in working Box Office windows.
Track and document redeemed vouchers and codes.
Engage with fans and provide top customer service at the Box Office.
