About The Position

The Frederick Keys Marketing Intern is a part-time internship for current university students receiving college credit. The intern gains real-world experience working with the Keys and Attain Marketing Team, supporting marketing efforts and engaging with fans through multiple channels. The role offers opportunities to work with an experienced marketing team, build a professional network, and learn about marketing a professional sports team. Interns may work on graphics, advertisements, social media content, in-game entertainment, and other marketing activities.

Requirements

• Be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing academic credit in Sport Management or Marketing.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Facebook, Instagram, X, and other social media platforms.
• Some experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or other Adobe software.
• Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Willingness to listen, learn, and receive constructive feedback.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Promote Keys events and promotions in the community by distributing marketing materials and pocket schedules.
• Assist with social media coverage of outside public appearances and events.
• Assist in creating promotional materials, including print and web graphics, flyers, and registration forms.
• Assist with creating game-day social media graphics.
• Assist with creating and posting video content to social media.
• Learn about the management and responsibilities involved in marketing a professional sports team.
• Shadow and learn from marketing staff as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager.
• Represent the organization at outside community events and appearances as needed.
• Represent the organization as mascot Keyote as needed.
• Work Frederick Keys home games and other events at Nymeo Field as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and General Manager of the Keys.
