Box Office Associate (Part Time, Weekends)

Children's Theatre of CharlotteCharlotte, NC

About The Position

As our Box Office Associate, you're often the first face patrons see and the first voice they hear on the phone, which makes you a key part of the magic before the show even begins. We're looking for enthusiastic, motivated, personable, customer-centric people to join our Front of House team. Candidates must be available to work most weekends — performances typically run daytime on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional Friday evenings. Hours and days may vary, with some flexibility, and you can generally expect no more than 10-15 hours per week. There are also opportunities to pick up occasional weekday hours during key points in the season.

  • Comfortable navigating a variety of apps and digital tools, including ticketing/CRM systems and MS Office or Google Workspace.
  • Excited about connecting our community to Theatre for Young Audiences.
  • Lead with kindness, equity, cultural awareness, and sensitivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a CRM or ticketing software.
  • Multilingual or bilingual.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in person, by phone, and by email to provide top-notch service.
  • Process orders, exchanges, and refunds for productions, classes, and camps using the AudienceView ticketing system.
  • Help manage Will Call during performance times.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks under the direction of the Customer Experience Manager.
  • Keep House Managers in the loop on special patron needs (like wheelchair accommodations), ticketing issues, and seats sold per performance.

Benefits

  • Complimentary tickets (when available) to shows during the season.
  • A schedule that works with you — we do our best to be flexible around your availability.
