Boutique Fitness Manager
About The Position
Altea is Canada's premier fitness and wellness destination, offering multiple boutique studios, modern recovery, and lifestyle amenities under one roof for a single membership. We combine the quality of a standalone boutique with the breadth of a full-service club, delivering an experience that members build their week around. The Boutique Fitness Manager is the leader responsible for this premium member experience, encompassing the leadership of Boutique Fitness Instructors, overseeing 400+ classes weekly across 9 studios, and ensuring the quality of every class reflects their leadership. Altea provides the infrastructure, member community, and support to deliver an exceptional boutique fitness experience.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a boutique fitness, group fitness, or fitness programming role.
- Current certification in one or more boutique fitness formats (Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Tread, Barre, HIIT, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience building, managing, and developing a team of group fitness instructors.
- Strong programming instincts; understanding how format mix, scheduling, and instructor quality drive attendance and retention.
- Financial literacy; ability to read utilization and attendance data, understand implications, and act on insights.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually.
- Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement.

- Management or senior leadership experience in a premium environment strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, schedule, and hold accountable a team of boutique fitness instructors and the Boutique Fitness Lead.
- Own the class schedule, format mix, and programming quality across the boutique fitness experience, driving attendance and retention.
- Ensure class quality, instructor preparation, studio presentation, and the member experience in every session through regular audits and coaching.
- Monitor and act on class utilization, attendance trends, member retention in the program, and instructor performance metrics.
- Set the energy and culture of the boutique fitness studio to foster member connection and community.
