About The Position

Nespresso is seeking a Boutique Assistant Manager for its Laval boutique. This role is an existing vacancy and is responsible for driving excellent results across all areas, including team building, key performance indicators, and overall boutique operations.

Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French is required for this position, involving daily interactions with a bilingual clientele.
  • 4-5 years of High-Volume Retail Management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan multiple priorities.
  • Strong team-building skills with a history of effective team coaching and development.
  • Effective time management, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Passionate about coffee and sustainability, with a desire to expand knowledge of Nespresso coffees.
  • Ability to stand for an entire working day and to repeatedly lift a maximum of 23 kgs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the luxury retail space is an asset.
  • Experience in the food or coffee space is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve with the team the daily, weekly, and monthly sales and service level targets set for the boutique.
  • Maximize guest frequency, sales, and acquisition of new customers in the boutique.
  • Maximize capsule, accessories, and machine sales in the boutique.
  • Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge of coffee and NESPRESSO products.
  • Continuously evaluate the quality of service, leveraging mystery shopper results to implement customer service action plans and provide individual feedback to boutique specialists.
  • Support the implementation of company programs by motivating and instructing the team to meet operational and organizational objectives.
  • Recruit, hire, motivate, and coach the team to provide exceptional customer service in keeping with our brand image.
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate appropriate responsibilities to the team, in conjunction with the Boutique Manager, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the team to achieve operational objectives, consistently review KPIs to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvements, and support action plan creation to achieve goals.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for the boutique, ensuring excellence in compliance, risk management, and health & safety.
  • Monitor and manage schedules to ensure boutique operations and customer service goals are met.
  • Understand, plan, and prioritize achieving annual sales and wage cost targets aligned with the Boutique Manager.
  • Use all operational tools and analyze financial reports to plan for and achieve excellence in staffing, monthly reports, cash management, and inventory management.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly physical inventories, place orders, and verify deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Provide all requested weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner.
  • In partnership with the IT department, ensure the proper functioning of IT systems.
