About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) process uses inventory across retail locations to help customers find products wherever they shop. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter is responsible for filling orders, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores as needed, while handling products to maintain their quality and appearance.

This role performs back-room functions such as receiving and inspecting merchandise, filling orders, and packing products for shipment. The employee may spend most of their time in one area but should be able to move among functions as needed. They may also assist customers on the sales floor during store hours, communicate issues affecting job execution, and perform other duties as assigned. Work is conducted under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate receiving equipment.
• Ability to constantly stand and/or walk and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers during a shift.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate to exchange information; operate machinery or power tools; work in tight or confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, or noisy environments.
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in suitable packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it using appropriate containers or cartons; apply designated labels and visually inspect product quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct-customer orders by matching merchandise to orders and pulling products from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow safe-work-environment procedures.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
