About The Position

The Bookkeeper is responsible for assisting with the full-cycle accounts receivable and payable processes, including preparing and delivering invoices, following up on payments, and maintaining vendor relationships. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, preparing monthly production reports, and assisting with plant inventory management. This is a permanent, part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule during business hours.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years prior experience working in an office setting, performing accounting duties such as accounts payable or accounts receivable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Superb customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Safety conscious attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma in business administration or accounting is preferred.
  • Previous experience using Quickbooks and/or Jobber is preferred.
  • Prior experience in the concrete or construction industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the accounts receive procedure from end to end including: preparing invoices, communicating with customers, following up on invoices as required, and collecting payment.
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process including entering invoices into the system, communicating with vendors, and preparing payment for approval.
  • Maintain excellent vendor relations.
  • Prepare monthly production reports for submission to the General Manager.
  • Enter financial entries/classifications into Quickbooks.
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails, providing excellent customer service, representing the company in a positive light.
  • Schedule precast installations for customers as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients; on the phone, in -person, and via email.
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist with plant inventory management including ordering PPE, concrete materials, and plant and office supplies.
  • Attend, schedule, and participate in plant meetings by providing reporting, supplementary information, and taking notes.
  • Provide general administrative the support to the General Manager to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
  • Actively participate in the safety culture by attending safety meetings, reporting unsafe work, and completely week HSE reviews.
  • Assist in the drafting and review of blueprints.
  • Other duties as assigned.
