About The Position

Responsible for leading and promoting a customer-friendly store atmosphere by providing exceptional customer assistance. To apply knowledge of books to buying, processing and selling, continuously incorporating positive customer focused strategies. Staff prices, sorts, stocks and merchandises all areas of the department as well as works at the Incoming Merchandise Counter buying and pricing merchandise.

Requirements

  • Superior knowledge in buying, processing and selling books
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with motivation to serve the public
  • Understanding the pricing, trading and discount systems
  • General knowledge of products sold at Bookmans
  • Knowledge of store sections and layout
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from Book Department Supervisor and Management
  • Ability to use reference materials
