A great meal starts with great prep, and that’s where you come in. As a Prep Cook, you’ll be a vital part of our kitchen team, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From prepping ingredients to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your attention to detail and efficiency will help set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in food preparation.

  • Ability to meet prep and production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong work ethic and professionalism in a high-energy setting.
  • Willingness to follow recipes and adjust quantities as needed.
  • Stand for the entire shift
  • Frequently reach, bend, and stoop frequently
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs multiple times per shift over medium distances
  • Communicate effectively with fellow team members.

Responsibilities

  • Follow prep lists from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, measuring ingredients, seasoning proteins, and ensuring all elements are ready for service.
  • Wash and chop vegetables, cut meats, and prepare other food items according to recipes.
  • Stock and label all ingredients in an orderly fashion for easy access.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station while practicing proper food safety and sanitation.
  • Set up the steam table with proper water levels and heat food to service-ready temperatures.
  • Monitor the steam table during service, maintaining par levels and ensuring proper temperatures.
  • Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and any other kitchen duties as needed.
