In our fast-paced airport environment, Kitchen Team Members play a critical role in preparing fresh, high-quality food while maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. As a BOH Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, assembling, and supporting all kitchen operations to ensure guests receive fresh, accurate, and high-quality food every time. You will work closely with your team across multiple kitchen stations, supporting one another to meet demand during high-volume travel periods while upholding Chick-fil-A standards. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a structured, fast-moving environment, enjoy hands-on work, and take pride in delivering quality under pressure. Kitchen Station Roles (You May Be Assigned One or More) Kitchen Prep Responsible for preparing fresh ingredients such as salads, fruit cups, lettuce blends, lemonade, tea, and other prepped items. Supports stocking needs for both Front of House and Back of House. Boards Responsible for reading order screens, assembling menu items, coordinating with kitchen stations, and ensuring food is prepared accurately and efficiently to meet demand. Breader Responsible for preparing chicken by thawing, portioning, breading, and maintaining proper food safety and cleanliness standards at the breading station. Machines Responsible for cooking chicken products using pressure fryers, monitoring cook times, performing quick cleans, and communicating product needs to the kitchen team. Waffle Fry Station Responsible for preparing, cooking, salting, and packaging waffle fries to Chick-fil-A quality standards. Utilities (Kitchen Support) Responsible for supporting overall kitchen operations including cleaning, stocking, assisting team members, managing trash removal, and retrieving supplies from storage, coolers, and freezers. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and accurately Maintain speed, quality, and consistency during high-volume service periods Follow all Chick-fil-A recipes, standards, and food safety procedures Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and fully stocked Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all food products Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance concerns Assist with unloading deliveries and stocking inventory Support opening, closing, and side work responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, coolers, freezers, and storage spaces Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Stay up to date on training, procedures, and new menu items Follow all company policies, safety standards, and airport regulations Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and procedures consistently Dependable, reliable, and team-oriented Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays What We're Looking For Consistency and reliability Strong work ethic and positive attitude Passion for serving others and producing high-quality food Ability to stay focused under pressure Team-first mindset and willingness to help across all stations Commitment to Chick-fil-A’s culture of excellence, service, and respect Join our team and gain valuable kitchen experience, leadership development, and career growth opportunities while serving millions of travelers at one of the busiest airports in the world.
