About The Position

As a Bodyshop Technician Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals restoring vehicles to like-new condition while building a strong foundation in a high demand trade. The Jim Click Eastside Bodyshop is looking for motivated apprentices who are eager to learn, dependable, and ready to grow within a supportive and structured environment.
Requirements
- Interest in automotive collision repair or hands on technical work
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Dependable, coachable, and motivated to build a career
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Trade school or prior automotive/body shop exposure is a plus—but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with vehicle disassembly and reassembly
- Learn and support body repair processes such as sanding, grinding, and panel prep
- Help with dent repair, panel alignment, and minor structural work
- Prepare vehicles for refinishing, including masking and cleaning surfaces
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe workspace
- Follow all safety standards and manufacturer repair guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
