About The Position

The Body Shop Estimator greets customers, assesses their needs, and works to make a difficult situation easier through high-priority customer service. The estimator prepares accurate estimates in accordance with applicable insurance company requirements and follows each job from the initial customer interaction through final vehicle delivery. This includes handling insurance communications, overseeing parts ordering, keeping customers informed, and quality-controlling repairs. The employer will train the right person. Body shop experience is preferred, and estimator experience is a plus. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Requirements

Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Body shop experience is preferred.
Estimator experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments with customers.
Work with customers and body shop technicians to identify required repair work.
Offer additional services and repairs.
Calculate replacement-parts and labor costs to restore vehicles to the condition specified by customers.
Dispatch and maintain an organized workload.
Enter itemized estimates on repair orders and explain estimates to customers.
Keep customers informed and updated throughout repairs.
Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above designated standards.
Follow applicable insurance guidelines.
Handle insurance-related communications, oversee parts ordering, and quality-control vehicles through repairs to final delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
