About The Position

The Collision Center Detailer assists with production flow in a newly opened modern Collision Center. The role involves inspecting and detailing vehicles, managing their cycle time from arrival through completion, keeping the work area clean, and following safety practices. The detailer works with managers and other departments to review priorities and support teamwork.

Requirements

• Able to speak and listen effectively one-on-one.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to two years of automotive detailing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Buffing skills, or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of techniques for detailing freshly painted vehicles.
• Ability to use the CCC application to complete an electronic checklist.

Responsibilities

• Perform light checks on vehicles.
• Identify and mark prior damage on body shop or damaged vehicles.
• Perform different types of washes efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, and windows, as needed.
• Manage a vehicle’s cycle time from acquisition or arrival to completion.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Use appropriate eye, hand, and body protection when handling products that require protection.
• Review current priorities with managers.
• Report safety issues immediately to management.
• Promote harmony and teamwork within the department and across departments.
• Maintain safety awareness and follow workplace safety requirements.
