Responsibilities

• Investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents.
• Determining coverage, liability, and damages for claims.
• Adjusting and negotiating claims within the limit of authority.
• Mentoring and providing direction to junior employees.
• Managing complex injury claims, including fractures and fatalities.
• Recognizing and identifying body parts of a vehicle or understanding other potential property damage.
• Identifying customer needs and meeting those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
• Determining subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for the most complex cases.
• Applying advanced understanding of insurance policies, the industry, and organizational relationships.
• Recommending process improvements.
• Applying increased experience in the Sr Adjuster level or a rotation into a specialty position.
• Reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating moderate to complex/catastrophic injury claims.
• Handling investigation regarding all aspects of the most complex auto claims (coverage, liability, and damages) with discretion and independence.
