About The Position

The Inn at Harbor Hill Marina is seeking a Boat Driver to safely operate a pontoon boat for guided tours of the river. This role involves maintaining the boat, providing information to guests, and ensuring a positive experience for all passengers.

Requirements

Working knowledge of the English language
Excellent oral communication skills
General knowledge of the Niantic Area
Professional in appearance and demeanor
Previous Customer Service background
Valid Boater License
Limited moving violations, driving accidents and zero alcohol/drug violations
Ability to navigate a boat through marina and waterways, while adhering to all state and federal boating laws.
Requires making decisions that affect other people and/or the image and reputation of the organization
Opportunity to make decisions without supervision
Includes responsibility for work outcomes and results

Responsibilities

Safe operation of a Pontoon boat carrying guests for a 35-40 minute guided tour of the river.
Maintain and monitor fuel levels, and fill up when necessary.
Properly dock and secure boat.
Clean and cover pontoon at the end of the shift.
Supply guests with directions, travel information, and other information such as available services and points of interest.
Assist physically challenged travelers and other guests with special needs.
