About The Position

The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is recruiting for a Board Services Specialist who will perform complex administrative work in support of the various programs operated by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Duties require understanding and communication of policies, guidelines, and legal requirements to County staff and the public. Positions exercise considerable independent judgment in the investigation and resolution of exceptional situations and recommend changes in procedures to improve operating efficiency or service delivery. Requirements

  • Two (2) years of full-time equivalent complex clerical tasks in an office environment.
  • Experience comparable to duties performed by a clerical lead worker and/or supervisor, fiscal assistant, or other office work which is non-routine in nature and requires exercising independent decision making.
  • Performing a variety of clerical tasks including public contact and computer usage.
  • Experience is typically equivalent to the San Bernardino County Office Assistant III/Senior Office Assistant classification and above.
  • Must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, credit check, and/or medical exam, prior to appointment.
  • San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
