Board Certified Physician Reviewer - Orthopedic Surgery (Minnesota License)
About The Position
Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Utilization Review services. We are expanding our physician panel, creating opportunities for physicians to earn supplemental income through non-traditional work. This is a telework opportunity where physicians can customize their caseload to fit their schedule. Our physician panel consists of independent contract reviewers (1099) who are compensated on a per-case basis. We are seeking physicians with an active Minnesota License to evaluate the medical necessity of treatment requests and, in appeals, the medical necessity of previously denied services. The average review takes 15-20 minutes, allowing for multiple cases to be completed within an hour. Training and onboarding can be finished in less than a week, enabling you to start earning while maintaining your active practice.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Minnesota Medical License
- Active Practice
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Responsibilities
- Address the medical necessity of treatment requests.
- Address the medical necessity of previously denied services in appeals.
- Provide advisory-only opinions as there is no doctor/patient relationship established and no treatment is provided.
