About The Position

Dane Street, an Independent Review Organization and national provider of Utilization Review services, is expanding its physician panel. This telework opportunity offers physicians a customized caseload for supplemental income. As an independent contract reviewer (1099), you will be compensated on a per-case basis. The role involves addressing the medical necessity of treatment requests and previously denied services. Most reviews take an average of 15-20 minutes, allowing for several cases to be completed within an hour. Training and onboarding can be finished in less than a week, enabling you to start earning while maintaining your active practice.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Louisiana Medical License
• Active Practice
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (Spine)

Responsibilities

• Address the medical necessity of treatment requests.
• Address the medical necessity of previously denied services.
• Provide advisory-only opinions.
• Participate in peer-to-peer calls when necessary for adverse determinations.
