Board Certified Disability Peer Physician Reviewer - Cardiology
About The Position
Dane Street is seeking Board Certified Physicians to join our Disability Peer Review team. This is a telework opportunity where physicians evaluate and review disability claims from home. Our independent physician panel consists of contract reviewers (1099) who benefit from flexible scheduling, allowing them to balance work with their lifestyle. This role involves providing advisory-only opinions, as no doctor/patient relationship is established and no treatment is provided. Dane Street manages all administrative tasks, including case flow, medical record organization, and communication, allowing reviewers to focus on clinical decision-making. Initial and ongoing training is provided, along with a dedicated point of contact for support.
Requirements
- Board Certification in Cardiology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license.
- Experience in conducting Disability Peer Reviews is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and review disability claims.
- Provide advisory-only opinions.
- Conduct reviews based on scheduled availability.
- Complete reviews within a typical turnaround time of 3-5 business days, depending on the level of review.
