Miller's Health Systems provides free training for people interested in becoming Certified Nursing Assistants. The program includes 36–40 hours of classroom instruction and 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility. Students must pass classroom tests with at least 80%, complete required skills demonstrations and documentation, and pass the state exam to become Certified Nurse's Aides. Students must also pass a criminal background check and complete a TB test and physical before starting. Attendance at all classroom sessions is mandatory, and unsatisfactory performance or attendance may result in dismissal. Students who successfully complete the course receive a certificate of completion and a scheduled test date. Miller's Merry Manor pays for the scheduled state test and one retake for students hired and in good standing as employees; other students arrange and pay for their own test.
