About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. See below for more details on training.

Requirements

• Pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Successfully complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum.
• Successfully perform all required skills during practicum.
• Attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the instructor.
• Get all required skills checklists (RCPs) signed off.
• Submit completed RCP checklists.
• Complete daily 'clinical sign-in record' with required information and signatures.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a TB test.
• Pass a physical.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Maintain satisfactory performance and attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for assistance with organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised clinical practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
• Attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the class instructor (absence will result in dismissal).
• Demonstrate and get signed off on all required skills checklists (RCPs) during clinicals.
• Submit completed RCP checklists at the end of clinicals.
• Complete and submit a daily 'clinical sign-in record' with required information and signatures.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Maintain satisfactory performance and attendance throughout the course.
