About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. This program includes classroom instruction and a clinical practicum. Students are required to pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course. Attendance to all classroom sessions is mandatory. Unsatisfactory performance or attendance issues may result in dismissal from the course/program. Students should check with the facility for details on the dress code requirements.

Requirements

• Pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum.
• Perform all required skills successfully during practicum.
• Attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the class instructor.
• Get all skills checklists (RCP’s) signed off.
• Submit completed checklist (RCP) at the completion of clinicals.
• Complete daily "clinical sign-in record" with required information and signatures.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a TB test.
• Pass a physical.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.

Nice To Haves

• Work with a preceptor during practicum for assistance in organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
• Attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the class instructor.
• Demonstrate and get signed off on all skills checklists (RCP’s) during clinicals.
• Submit completed checklist (RCP) at the completion of the clinicals.
• Complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with required information and signatures.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a TB test.
• Pass a physical.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
