About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. See below for more details on training.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Must successfully perform all required skills during the clinical practicum.
• Must attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the class instructor.
• Must submit completed checklist (RCP) at the completion of the clinicals.
• Must complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with date, actual hours worked, student signature, and supervisor signature.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical examination prior to starting the course.
• Mandatory attendance to all classroom sessions.
• Must adhere to facility dress code requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor who will assist in organization and time management during the practicum.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum.
• Attend the first 16 hours of practicum with the class instructor.
• Demonstrate and have signed off on all skills checklists (RCP’s) during clinicals.
• Submit completed checklist (RCP) at the completion of the clinicals.
• Complete and submit a daily "clinical sign-in record" with date, actual hours worked, student signature, and supervisor signature.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Pass a TB test.
• Pass a physical examination prior to starting the course.
• Attend all classroom sessions mandatorily.
• Adhere to the facility's dress code requirements.
