About The Position

Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete classroom training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide.

Requirements

• Must pass classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed).
• Must complete 75 hours of supervised practicum.
• Must successfully perform all required skills during practicum.
• Must attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Must complete and submit signed skills checklists (RCPs).
• Must complete daily clinical sign-in records.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a TB test.
• Must pass a physical.

Nice To Haves

• Students may be assigned to work with a preceptor for organization and time management assistance.
• The first 16 hours of practicum will be with the class instructor; absence during this time will result in dismissal from the program.

Responsibilities

• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work.
• Pass all classroom tests with a score of 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed per test).
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility.
• Successfully perform all required skills during the practicum.
• Attend all mandatory classroom sessions.
• Complete and submit all skills checklists (RCPs) signed by a licensed professional.
• Complete a daily "clinical sign-in record" with date, actual hours worked, student signature, and supervisor signature.
• Pass a criminal background check, TB test, and physical prior to starting the course.
