About The Position
Summit City is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who wish to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The training includes free classroom and hands-on instruction, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and passing the state test, graduates can find employment at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further opportunities for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of Nurse Aide training program and testing.
- Ability to work with and be supported by instructors, nurses, and CNAs.
Nice To Haves
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents with meals, including transportation to the dining room and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
