Blow Molding Supervisor, 3rd Shift
About The Position
Amalie Oil Company is hiring a full-time, onsite Blow Molding Supervisor for its Tampa, Florida facility. The role oversees team members on the production floor throughout the shift and assists lead technicians with installation and repair of blow molding machines and manufacturing equipment as needed. The position is on the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional overtime as needed. Amalie Oil Company is North America's largest privately held independent blender of motor oils and industrial lubricants. It manufactures more than 3,000 products at facilities in Tampa, Florida; Charleston, South Carolina; and the Los Angeles area, distributing products throughout all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills and extensive experience managing a team.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Motivation and a drive to succeed.
- Ability to meet deadlines and ensure financial goals are achieved.
- At least 5 years of management experience.
- Ability to traverse the entire facility.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work eight-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
- Slip-resistant, safety-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection are required.
Responsibilities
- Create shift schedules for team members.
- Distribute tasks and duties fairly and effectively during each shift.
- Assess team members’ abilities and aptitudes and incorporate them into shift duties to support effective workflows and employee satisfaction.
- Oversee team members and ensure duties and tasks are performed efficiently and effectively during each shift.
- Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines.
- Set individual performance goals and create reward systems or contests as needed.
- Ensure production goals are met.
- Participate in weekly management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and issues requiring resolution.
- Assist lead technicians with installation and repair of blow molding machines and manufacturing equipment as needed.
