About The Position

Amalie Oil Company is hiring a full-time, onsite Blow Molding Supervisor in Tampa, Florida, for the third shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. The supervisor oversees team members on the production floor and assists lead technicians with installation and repair of blow molding machines and manufacturing equipment as needed. Amalie Oil Company is North America's largest privately held independent blender of motor oils and industrial lubricants. It operates production facilities in Tampa, Florida; Charleston, South Carolina; and the Los Angeles area, and manufactures more than 3,000 products distributed across all 50 states and over 100 countries. The work takes place in a non-temperature-controlled industrial plant, where conditions may range from hot to cold. The position involves frequent exposure to moving production machinery and vibration, moderate noise from forklifts, machinery, trains, and trucks, and occasional exposure to outside weather. Employees work near other workers and production machinery. The role requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and using a computer, traversing the facility, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds. Eight-hour shifts and overtime as needed are required. Slip-resistant safety-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection are required.

At least 5 years of management experience.
Ability to traverse the entire facility and lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Ability to work eight-hour shifts and overtime as needed.
Must wear slip-resistant safety-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.

Responsibilities

Create shift schedules for team members.
Distribute tasks and duties fairly and effectively during each shift.
Assess team members’ abilities and aptitudes and assign duties to support effective workflows.
Oversee team members and ensure tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
Maintain a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines.
Set individual performance goals and create reward systems or contests as needed.
Ensure production goals are met.
Participate in weekly management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and issues requiring resolution.
Assist lead technicians with installation and repair of blow molding machines and manufacturing equipment as needed.
