About The Position

The Blaster is responsible for blasting interior and exterior coating to manufacturing specifications and Curry quality standards. This safety-sensitive position requires compliance with company safety policies and procedures, including drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Employees are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing, consistent with applicable law and company policy. Policy violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized blasting equipment.
• Ability to recognize different levels of blast quality.
• Proficiency in using blasting units and ability to operate tools and equipment.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in a challenging environment for a 10-hour shift.
• Ability to walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and stand for prolonged periods; push, pull, and lift items up to 40 pounds; work amid excessive noise, dust, and fumes; operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment; and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

• Prior blast experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand how the blaster is constructed and operates, and diagnose and fix issues during the shift.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Maintain high quality standards while adapting to a fast-paced work environment.
• Follow laws and organizational policies and procedures intended to prevent harassment and illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
• Support internal policies, procedures, and practices for risk management, safety, soundness, and regulatory compliance.
• Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested or according to an established schedule; compile information as necessary or directed and provide it to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to inquiries related to the role or requests from customers and other personnel within established time frames and policy.
