About The Position
The Blaster prepares jobs for processing by determining their priority and selecting media according to specifications and customer requirements. The role includes completing required paperwork, following safety guidelines, wearing required personal protective equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and correctly disposing of hazardous waste. Other duties may be assigned. Work is performed in shop conditions and may exceed 100 degrees.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or less.
- Frequent standing, speaking, sitting, and walking; occasional grasping, reaching, and bending.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.
- Sense of sound, touch, and sight.
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Determine the priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing.
- Select appropriate media according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines.
- Wear proper PPE and follow safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean working area by disposing of unnecessary trash.
- Ensure hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
