About The Position
HUTCO, INC. is seeking a 1st class Blaster/Painter for a position in Pascagoula, MS. The role involves performing blasting and painting using marine coatings to meet specified contract requirements. This includes understanding blasting and painting specifications such as blast profiles and mileage requirements. The painter will perform applications as directed by supervision. Testing for the role will involve demonstrating the ability to hook airlines to the manifold and spray in various directions (horizontal, vertical, and side to side).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a blaster/painter
- Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications.
- Must be able to pass drug screen (HFT) and background check.
Responsibilities
- Perform blasting and painting utilizing marine coating to specified contract requirements.
- Understand blasting and painting specifications, including but not limited to blast profiles, milage requirements, etc.
- Perform blasting and painting applications as directed by supervision.
- Hook airlines to the manifold and spray horizontal, vertical and side to side.
- Identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications.
- Sand blast and demonstrate how to utilize each part of the blast equipment.
