About The Position

Safely operates a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks. The role is responsible for preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk-around inspections of assigned equipment to ensure safe operation. This position is for a project involving the installation of civil utilities, roadway excavation and grading, site mass excavation and balance, and asphalt paving and hardscaping to support combustion turbine power generation plant construction.

Requirements

Must have at least 2 years' experience operating a blade with GPS.
Preferably heavy civil/road construction experience.
Must be available for overtime as needed.
Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
Must have a minimum of three years (level I), four years (level II), five years (level III) and six plus years’ experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the operation of various types of heavy construction equipment.
Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards and effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
