About The Position

This role is responsible for making precision cuts to carcass meat, separating meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. The operator must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. This position involves setting up the work area with all necessary equipment, monitoring the production area for debris, and performing other tasks as assigned. Training for this position may require 2-3 months.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
  • Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment.
  • Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.
