About The Position

This role is responsible for making precision cuts to a carcass, separating meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield, and adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. The position involves setting up equipment in preparation for startup, ensuring the work area is equipped with all necessary tools, and monitoring the production area for cleanliness. The operator will also perform various other tasks as assigned by leads, supervisors, or superintendents. Training for this role may require 2-3 months.

Requirements

  • Must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
  • Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment.
  • Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • Occasionally required to lift/carry up to 50lbs.
  • Willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
  • Willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
  • Willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must have been in current position 6 months, for lateral or demotion.
  • Must have less than 4 points - no written warnings in the past 6 months and no suspensions in the last 12 months.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
