About The Position

The Bistro Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes. This role involves direct guest interaction, including greeting, presenting menus, answering questions, taking orders, and accommodating special requests. The cook will also manage food supply and equipment inventory, place orders, and maintain daily logs for temperature and waste. Responsibilities extend to receiving and inspecting food deliveries, restocking supplies, cleaning kitchen and dining areas, and processing payments. Compliance with company policies and completion of alcohol awareness training are required.

  • Must complete Alcohol Training, i.e. Brand Alcohol Awareness such as ServSafe.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and cooks food according to recipes.
  • Greets guests, presents menus, answers questions, and takes orders.
  • Accommodates special requests as needed.
  • Maintains food supply and equipment inventory weekly and orders as needed.
  • Maintains daily temperature and waste logs.
  • Receives, dates, and examines food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet order requests and standard specifications.
  • Restocks bar, replenishes pantry, and cleans counters, tables, utensils, and kitchen at the close end of shift.
  • Resets counters and tables at guests’ departure and at end of shifts.
  • Computes bill, accepts payment, and tracks sales receipts.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Completes Alcohol Training, i.e. Brand Alcohol Awareness such as ServSafe.
