About The Position

The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, including cashier, barista, bartending and prep cook.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
Basic reading writing, math, and computer skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period.
At least 18 years of age
Must be able to speak, read and write English and have basic food/beverage knowledge
Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints

Nice To Haves

Previous Micros, server, cook, bartender and or restaurant experience is preferred.
FOSSE experience preferred
Marriott experience/bistro experience preferred
One year in the hospitality or restaurant industry
Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses guests’ service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
This position processes all orders and collects payment from customers and aids in food & beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests.
Monitors and maintains stock of breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast items.
This position also performs general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and supports team to reach common goals.
Follows end of shift bank count procedures as well as and follows property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress
Flexible schedule, must be able to work mornings and evenings
