About The Position

The Bistro at Courtyard is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, including cashier, barista, bartending and prep cook.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Basic reading writing, math, and computer skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English and have basic food/beverage knowledge
  • Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Micros, server, cook, bartender and or restaurant experience is preferred.
  • FOSSE experience preferred
  • Marriott experience/bistro experience preferred
  • One year in the hospitality or restaurant industry
  • Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses guests’ service needs, assists individuals with disabilities, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
  • This position processes all orders and collects payment from customers and aids in food & beverage areas including busing, cleaning, resetting tables, and delivering food to guests.
  • Monitors and maintains stock of breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast items.
  • This position also performs general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others and supports team to reach common goals.
  • Follows end of shift bank count procedures as well as and follows property control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.
  • Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress
  • Flexible schedule, must be able to work mornings and evenings
