The Courtyard by Marriott, situated on CMU’s campus, is looking for skilled cooks to assist with breakfast service at their onsite F&B outlet - The Bistro. The Bistro Cook is responsible for the daily production of high-quality food and maintaining sanitation standards at all times.

Requirements

Satisfactory criminal background screening required
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required

Nice To Haves

Food preparation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Set-up kitchen properly and on time daily
Ensure all food is prepared by recipes designated by brand
Ensure food quality and quantity are correct
Must follow all QA and Health Department standards
Notify supervisor of any problems or complaints when they arise
Follow “clean as you go” policy and keep work area clean at all times
Rotation of goods – FIFO (First In First Out)
After service, turn off and clean oven tops, work areas, and reach-in boxes. Empty and clean dishwasher
Make sure production charts are closely followed and adhered to
Fill out appropriate cleaning charts
Be aware of accident prevention and help enforce safe work conditions
Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed
Complete administrative duties as required
