About The Position

The Biotech Associate will support T. Rowe Price’s biotechnology investment team through a diverse range of responsibilities, including analyzing preclinical and clinical data across therapeutic areas, assessing market potential, and developing financial models. The role offers opportunities to interact with company management teams, domain experts, and attend medical conferences. The associate is expected to provide investment insights that contribute to the investment process for public and private biotechnology companies, while learning directly from senior investment professionals. Exceptional performers may have the potential to be promoted to Equity Research Analyst. The position offers competitive compensation with significant upside potential for high performers.

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home. FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Requirements

• Strong academic background and intellectual curiosity.
• Ph.D. or M.D. with scientific research experience.
• Highly motivated, confident self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of fundamental drug development research and preclinical/clinical data analysis.
• Basic understanding of financial modeling.
